Our Model

Base Quadrant operates a fully integrated build, own and operate model designed to remove upfront capital barriers and deliver immediate certainty for our clients. We fund, design, construct and manage the accommodation solution end-to-end—so projects can move forward without the burden of significant initial investment. Clients simply pay when the facility is operational and being used, aligning cost with demand and project timelines. It’s a smarter, lower-risk approach that frees up capital, accelerates delivery and ensures a consistently high standard of accommodation throughout the life of the project.

David Lynas

Co-Founder and Board Member

With over three decades in the shopfitting and construction industry, David co-founded Interior Fitouts in 1991, establishing it as a leader in retail and commercial shopfitting.

Following its successful sale through strategic succession planning, he now invests in and mentors Australian businesses. David’s extensive experience spans Quick Service Retail Operations, Commercial Kitchens, and Accommodation fitouts, ensuring seamless turnkey operations.

Shane Oswin

Co-Founder and Board Member

Shane co-founded Interior Fitouts alongside David Lynas, sharing a vision for comprehensive end-to-end shopfitting solutions. Post-sale, he focuses on investing in Australian businesses and property development projects.

Shane’s passion for client collaboration and timely, budget-conscious project completion enhances Base Quadrant’s leadership with his deep expertise in manufacturing and industrial relations.

Maxine Horne

Shareholder and Board Member

As co-founder and former CEO of Vita Group Ltd, Maxine transformed a single store into an ASX-listed company with over 2,500 employees nationwide. After selling Vita Group in 2023, she now invests in Australian businesses and serves on advisory boards.

Maxine brings strategic, operational, financial, sales, and marketing expertise to Base Quadrant’s leadership team.

Stuart Harris

Shareholder and Executive Director

With over 20 years in the shopfitting and construction industry, Stuart leads all operations at Base Quadrant, including construction, IT, finance, safety, and people functions.

His close collaborations with leading Australian retail brands have honed his skills in delivering clients’ retail visions and shop fit requirements.

Laif Jones

Shareholder and Executive Director

Laif brings over 30 years of experience in delivering construction solutions across industries such as mining, health, retail, and restaurants.

At Base Quadrant, he oversees project delivery from conception to completion and manages ongoing operational functions, ensuring projects meet the highest standards.
